High school students are already applying to the college(s) of their choice and eager to submit their best SAT or ACT results with their college application. With most college applications, students have to write an essay on a given topic or an essay introducing themselves to the admissions officer. Additionally, many students are weeding through college scholarships and finding that a number of these scholarships require a personal essay. As high school Juniors and Seniors should already be taking their college application essay and scholarship essays seriously, we thought we would help spark their imagination towards some common essay topics.
We encourage students to answer these questions within their essays wherever it makes sense to dive into these topics. These are topics that admissions officers love to see in a well-written college essay and can gain great momentum with scholarship boards.
